Fungi can affect different parts of the body.For a fungal culture test, you will need to provide a sample of cells or fluids where fungi may grow.

The most common types of fungal tests include:

  • Skin or nail scraping.
  • Swab of the nose, mouth, or vagina.

  • Sputum test.
