How To Prepare for Strabismus Surgery?
- Before the Surgery
- Inform your doctor about any health issues you are experiencing.
- The doctor will ask you to sign a consent form that gives you permission to undergo the procedure. Read the form carefully and ask questions if anything is unclear.
- You will be asked about the last time you ate or drank. If anesthesia is required, you will be instructed not to eat or drink for 8 hours before the procedure.
- Inform your doctor if you have any allergies to medications or anesthesia.
